My Bio, and About MusicMeFree.com

Hi. My name is Ed Crivello, owner and webmaster of MusicMeFree.com. Thank you for visiting my website. First I will share a little bio information about myself. Then I will share a little info about MusicMeFree.com and why I started it etc.

My Bio

My bio is nothing fancy or impressive. It does not follow any rules in writing. I am just writing it spontaneously. I don't have any elaborate education experience to boast about in my bio, nor do I have any extensive career experiences to share with you. Most of my experience in life comes from daily living itself.

For the most part I have an interest in maintaining physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. It is not all talk but reflects my personal experience in life. Physically I do what I can to keep my body fit and healthy. Mentally and emotionally I prefer being positive (and around positive people when possible) instead of being negative. My main interest is to develop my spiritual side, but without neglecting the physical, and without going to the extremes. When it comes to having fun I find fun and pleasure in the simple things in life whether it is camping, hiking, riding bikes, working out at the gym, going to the ocean, having picnics with friends etc. Now for the main part of my bio.

I was brought up by very loving and caring parents. Most of my childhood and teenage years were obviously spent in school. After I graduated from High School I continued to live with Mom and Dad and I got a few odd jobs here and there, but was not sure what I wanted out of life. I knew there was more to life than being born, eating, going to school, getting a job, earning money, having a little fun, procreating, growing old - if you live that long - and then dying.

Around the age of 21 I began a spiritual quest. At that time the teachings of Jesus, as well as Jesus himself, began to be very meaningful to me. I began to think I was being called to simplify my lifestyle and focus more on the spiritual side of life. So I went through major changes outwardly (simplifying my lifestyle), and inwardly.

Being young and impressionable back then I ended up carrying this desire to an extreme which is probably why my life ended up developing in a different direction than that of the average person who goes down the road of: college, career, marriage, raising a family, owning a home etc. None of this happened for me. This will all make sense if you continue to read through my bio.

When I initially had the desire to simplify my life I didn't know how to go about starting a sort of pilgrim or nomadic lifestyle because I was never away from my family, I was never on my own, and never even experienced camping out at the time. I thought about maybe joining an overseas missionary group, but it wasn't for me. I thought about maybe joining a monastary but that wasn't for me as much as I had a drive to move about.

I eventually moved away from my hometown and found a job as a live-in caregiver for elderly people. I chose that job not only because it was a place to stay, but also I felt it was somewhat altruistic which added some meaning to the work I was doing.

After almost 7 months working as a live-in caregiver I unexpectedly came across a small traveling spiritual community who were house-sitting in the town where I was working at the time. After visiting with them, and finding out they lived very much the lifestyle I was seeking, I decided to leave my caregiver job and join them. The rest is history. I lived and traveled with them for the next 14 years.

During my 14 years with that little community I did a lot of house-sitting, camping out, traveling all over the US via hitchhiking, bicycling, greyhound. I never had a regular 40 hour a week job during that time (and never took government help either), but occasionally did odd jobs here and there with other members within the little spiritual community. I spent a lot of time visiting libraries and bookstores around the US reading a lot on the subjects of Christianity, religion in general, spirituality, yoga/meditation, metaphysics and so on.

After going through further inward changes in my mind and heart during the latter part of my years in that little community I eventually decided it was time to leave. Since leaving I have had 2 longterm jobs (longterm for me that is), the first lasting 2 1/2 years (July 2003 - November 2005), and the second lasted from November 2005 - August 2008.

I am at the point in life where I am searching for a balance between work and spirituality. I don't want to go too far either way. That is, I don't want to burn myself out working too much. Nor do I want to become overly obsessed with spirituality and religion.

In an attempt to find a way to eventually work for myself and earn money online so it could work on auto pilot and earn money for me even when I am out of work as far as a day job I started an affiliate website around June 2007. I have not done too well at all earning money from that website, so I made a second attempt (June 2008) to earn money online by selling my own products here at MusicMeFree.com which I hope to get into next. About MusicMeFree.com

For the record I am not a licensed neurologist, nor do I have a background in brainwave technology. I have been studying the subject of brainwave technology, binaural beats, isochronic tones etc. since about April or May of 2008, and never even heard about the subject before that time (as can be understood by the nomadic lifestyle I lived for so many years as described above). I was (am) enthusiastic about brainwave technology because it fits in with my passion for spirituality, meditation/yoga, higher consciousness, mental and emotional health, and so on. In fact, as far as doing something worthwhile with my time, and helping others mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, this may be part of what I have been searching for as far as earning money from something I enjoy doing, and yet selling products (at affordable prices) that help others. (But I see all this as a tool or means to the real meaning in life which is that of living life from a spiritual level of consciousness as is described in the spiritual section of this website. Recordings with binaural beats can be used as a tool for attaining to higher levels of consciousness which is the main purpose for the Meditation and Inner Peace Mp3 Pack.)

If some of the Mp3 packs I am selling seem sophisticated and professional it is only because the pricy (over $600) professional software I bought to create the recordings came with professionally designed presets which I use in most of my recordings (except that I was required to change the ambient music soundtrack and/or nature sounds in particular recordings before I could sell them as my own). It is because of these professionally designed presets that you are getting high quality Mp3 brainwave recordings. (Additionally I had to purchase a commercial license to be able to sell the Mp3 files).

Before starting my webiste I shopped around for recordings with binaural beats because, as mentioned above, I have an interest in meditation, consciousness, and higher mental states. But most brainwave recordings were too expensive for me. And sometimes though you may need to pay only $20 for one recording, you had to pay another $20 to buy another, and so on. So in launching my own website I have tried to make the recordings excellent quality, yet affordable so you can get several quality recordings for the price of about 2 quality recordings. If you were to buy all the brainwave recordings I am selling (33 brainwave sessions) the total cost would be under $120. That is under $4 per recording. From other websites you would have to pay at least $300 - $500 for that many recordings. (Note that the Nature and Contemplation Mp3 Pack does not include any brainwave sessions which is why I did not include it in the total count.) The 3 Mp3 Packs where you will find the 33 brainwave recordings can be found here: Mind Release Mp3 Pack, Energy and Focus Mp3 Pack, Meditation and Inner Peace Mp3 Pack. These are also available on data CD/DVD. And I even have available a visualization DVD embedded with visualizations, monaural beats and ambient music.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
