When listening to some brainwave recordings for the first time some people may not only feel uncomfortable, but may even experience temporary headaches or tearing eyes. This is normal and not a danger. Some people are always very tensed-up and rarely ever experience a relaxed mental state. As a result they may feel some slight discomfort such as headaches when they physically relax and "let go". It's this sudden release and relief that causes a slight headache or tearing. These side-effects are only temporary and usually go away the next time you listen to brainwave entrainment recordings because your brain builds new neural pathways to accommodate the new incoming brainwave audio energy. For most other people, once your brain waves slow down to Alpha, you'll naturally feel very relaxed and peaceful, deep down inside.
However, generally speaking, if you are prone to epileptic type events, pregnant, wearing a pacemaker, prone to seizures, or under the influence of medication or drugs, it is best to consult a physician before listening to recordings containing binaural beats, monaural beats, isochronic beats, as well as any recordings containing video of flashing lights (audiostrobe). It is also a good idea to NOT listen to these types of recordings while under the influence of alcohol or other mood altering substances. Under no circumstances should you drive a car or operate potentially dangerous machinery while listening to brainwave entrainment recordings. Children under the age of 18 are to be examined by a physician for epilepsy or illnesses that may contribute to seizures prior to the use of our recordings, as they are more susceptible to seizures.
Our recordings are not intended to treat or cure any disease, nor should any of the subject matter on the site be taken as medical advice. About the file format used in our recordings
All downloads are in .zip format (with the exception of the files in the Nature Contemplation Mp3 pack). Within each .zip file is the Mp3 download, as well as .pdf documentation and instructions. After your purchase you will have instant access to the downloads and you will be able to right click each .zip file, and save to your computer.
After the files are saved on your computer you can unzip the files, and start adding the mp3's to your mp3 player if you have one, and/or start burning the files to regular audio CD's which will play in most modern CD player's (but not in older ones.) If you don't have the time or the desire to burn the mp3 files to CD's you can use windows media player, real player, etc., to listen to the mp3 recordings from your computer. If you have an updated version of windows media player it has exceptional visualizations which you can view as you listen to some of our mp3 recordings. But if you plan on using your computer to listen to one of our relaxation/meditation recordings (with eyes closed and body relaxed) it is recommended that you get a good set of stereo headphones, as well as a long cord, so you can easily either sit in a comfortable chair away from the computer, or lie down and enjoy listening to the recordings without having to sit in front of the computer. Otherwise adding the recordings to your mp3 player (if you have one), or burning them to a CD that can be used in a portable CD player (that can play mp3 files*) is your best bet. *Some older CD players can't read mp3 files in which case you will need to convert the mp3 files on your computer to wav files (there is free software to do this) before burning them to a CD.
Free Sample
Here is a free sample (.zip file containing an mp3 file) so you can see if your computer can open .zip files and read mp3 files etc. You may also want to burn the sample mp3 file to a CD, and then test it on a portable CD player, to be sure you have a CD player that can read mp3 files on a audio CD in case you are planning on buying our mp3 pack/s for the purpose of burning the files to CD's for your listening pleasure.
