What Is The Schumann Resonance?
All physical matter is in a state of vibration as is proven by the fact that electrons are always moving and vibrating. Everything that vibrates has its own resonating frequency or "resonance". In 1952 German physicist Professor W.O. Schumann predicted that there are electromagnetic standing waves (sometimes manifesting as lightening/thunderstorms) within the cavity formed by the surface of the earth and the ionosphere surrounding the earth. Schumann detected resonances within this cavity to be at a main frequency of 7.83 hz. Hence the term "Schumann Resonance".
Our brain also creates electromagnetic waves with particular frequencies.
Brainwave Classifications
Following are the 4 most common brainwave classifications:
Beta 13hz - 40hz: Wide awake. This is generally the mental state most people are in during the day and most of their waking lives.
Alpha 7hz - 13hz: Awake but relaxed and not processing much information. When you get up in the morning and just before sleep, you are naturally in this state. When you close your eyes your brain automatically starts producing more Alpha waves.
Theta 4hz - 7hz: Light sleep or extreme relaxation, dreaming, and also deep meditation. These frequencies are especially dominant when the mind is focusing internally, meditating, or being spiritually aware.
Delta 0 hz - 4hz: Deep, dreamless sleep. Delta is the slowest band of brainwaves. When your dominant brainwave is Delta, your body is healing itself and "resetting" its internal clocks. You do not dream in this state and are completely unconscious.
Is it possible to receive the rejuvenating effects of the Schuman Resonance frequency, and consciously entrain the brain to resonate at the same frequency, other than by means of unconscious sleep, or years of meditation practice? The answer is yes and it can be done by listening daily to brainwave entrainment cd’s or mp3's.
What Is Brainwave Entrainment?
By using EEG devices it has been scientifically proven that when certain beats or tones (set at certain frequencies) are applied to the brain it is possible to change the dominant brain frequency to the frequency of the beat or tone applied to the brain. This is called entrainment. For example if an individual in the beta stage of about 20 hz is presented with a stimulus from the alpha stage of 10 hz for some time, the brain frequency is likely to change from that of 20 hz to 10 hz - from a active beta state of mind, to a more relaxed state of mind at the alpha level. This is called frequency following response. This same example can be applied to going from a alpha state of mind to a deep theta state of mind and so on. Binuaral beats and isochronic tones (as well as monaural beats and harmonic box x) are tones or beats which can be used for changing the dominant brain frequency.
Isochronic tones are believed to be the most effective. MusicMeFree.com: Schumann Resonance CD is embedded with isochronic tones set at the Schumann Resonance ferequency of 7.83 hz.

Entraining the brain to resonate at the Schumann Resonance frequency
This is a relaxing cd stimulating 7.83 Hz (Schumann Resonance) with isochronic tones, randomly generated wind chimes, wind, rain, and thunder in the distance, night time noises, and entrainment embedded into 3 different ambient music sound files.
By using the Schumann Resonance cd daily your brain will be trained to enter a deep state of calmness, relaxation and meditation. In time, during your sessions, your entire being will resonate at the Schumann Resonance frequency thus rejuvenating and refreshing your body, mind and soul.
This cd is an hour and can be listened to at night as you are going to bed and/or during the day if you want to relax. The session begins at the alpha level of 10 hz, then works it way down to 7.83 Hz (after 10 minutes) and remains at 7.83 Hz throughout the remainder of the cd.
Headphones are preferred for best results.
Find a quiet place, free of distraction. Make sure you are comfortable, in a chair or lying down. After starting the cd, close your eyes and relax.
