Beta 13hz - 40hz: Beta is generally the mental state most people are in during the day and most of their waking lives. Usually, this state in itself is uneventful, but don't underestimate its importance. Many people lack sufficient beta activity, which can cause mental or emotional disorders such as depression, ADD and insomnia. Stimulating beta activity can improve emotional stability, energy levels, attentiveness and concentration.

For optimal brainwave entrainment it is best to listen to the Brain Charge Cd with stereo headphones. But it is entirely optional to use the Brain Charge Cd for brainwave entrainment. The cd is also great for listening to without headphones. But if listening to the background audio signals (isochronic tones) for brainwave entrainment stereo headphones are the best choice.

The Brain Charge Cd also consists of an optional audiostrobe track which is embedded into each of the 3 tracks. The audiostrobe track can only be detected by mind machines (Light and Sound machines) capable of decoding the audiostrobe track. Compatible mind machines include: Mind Explorer Audiostrobe Decoder, the Innerpulse, the Orion, the Photosonix Nova Pro 100, the Proteus, Sirius, Mind Spa Light & Sound Synergizer.

No worries if you don't own a light and sound machine because the audiostrobe track is entirely optional. It's presence on the cd won't affect your cd player's capability of reading the cd.

If, on the other hand, you do own a light and sound machine that can read the audiostrobe track then you are in for an extra treat as far as the brainwave entrainment capability of this cd when you listen to it with stereo headphones, and use the goggles from the mind machine at the same time. The cd is designed in such a way that the binaural beats pulse in sync with the flashing lights in goggles on the mind machine.

Before using audiostrobe, consult with a medical professional if you have epilepsy, are photosensitive, have any history of closed head injuries, or are prone to seizures. Flashing lights can cause seizures to those who are prone to epilepsy.

Here is the list of tracks included on the Brain Charge CD:

Track 1: Energy & Motivation (23 minutes) - This is a stimulating beta session designed to provide a boost of energy and motivation. It is embedded with isochronic tones which you can hear in the background of the thunderstorm sounds and chimes. The brainwave entraimnet frequencies are set at 15 hz - 18 hz which is well into the beta brainwave range.

Track 2: Extreme Focus (25 minutes) - Headphones are needed for this session for the split-hemisphere stimulation. This session stimulates SMR in the right brain hemisphere and Beta in the left. It is ideal to help focus the mind before a mentally strenuous task. It is based on the ADD research from psychologist Michael Joyce and David Siever. The entrainment in this session is very technical. In a nutshell the isochronic ton frequencies move about between 12 hz and 20 hz, but entrain the left and right hemispheres of the brain differently since the entrainment in each ear is not identical do to the special design of this session. Isochronic tones are embedded in the background of pleasant forest sounds and crystal bowl sounds. To use this session, find a quiet place, free of distraction. Make sure you are comfortable, in a chair or lying down. After starting the session, close your eyes and relax.

Track 3: Creativity Session (22.5 minutes) - This session alternates between low beta, alpha and theta frequencies, stimulating creativity but also keeping the user awake and alert. The best way to use this session is to relax, close your eyes and wait for new ideas to surface. Once they do, pause the session, write them down, and resume the session afterward. Some people may also choose to use the session with eyes open, while working on artistic projects. In this session isochronic tones are embedded into ambient sounds, and the sound of running water
