The Mind Massage Cd is in standard wav format which works on most cd players, and it is also audiostrobe compatible (as are the mp3 files) for those of you who have a light and sound machine capable of decoding the audiostrobe tracks embedded into the cd. (The audiostrobe is optional, you don't need a light and sound machine to listen to this cd). The Mind Massage cd consists of 12 new age music tracks (65 minutes total). Some of the tracks also include additional nature sounds and/or chimes or crystal bowls playing in the background of the music. All 12 tracks are embedded with brainwave entrainment frequencies which begin at 10 .5 hz and descend to 1 hz by the time you reach track 10. Tracks 11 and 12 bring the mind back up to the theta and alpha brainwave levels of 7.83 hz and 10 hz. (You can listen to samples below).

The first 10 tracks are embedded with binaural beat frequencies (10hz - 1 hz), and the last 2 tracks are embedded with harmonic box x frequencies (7.83 hz and 10 hz). The carrier frequency used in each track is the "om" frequency of 136.10 hz. Brainwave Entrainment The Mind Massage Cd is designed to bring you to a level of deep relaxation by slowing down your brainwaves via brainwave entrainment. The following definitions will give you a better understanding of how brainwave entrainment works:

Binaural Beats - Binaural beats require headphones if you want to experience results. Binaural beats work by broadcasting two separate frequencies in each ear. For example, if you want to tune your brain to a 7 Hz frequency, you could play 200 Hz in your right ear, and 207 Hz in your left ear. The brain will compensate for the difference between the two and produce a third tone that will be exactly 7 Hz. This will result in your brain frequency being lowered to the theta level of 7 Hz.

Harmonic Box X is a way of creating brainwave entrainment audios that combines both binaural beats and monaural beats together. This method is unique in that it incorporates both monaural and binaural beats in a harmonic formation. Harmonic Box X is an incredibly effective way to entrain the brain.

Isochronic Tones - Isochronic tone are the opposite of binaural beats because the input is the same in each ear therefore you don't need headphones, but good speakers are always a plus because the volume must be tuned precisely (not too loud and not too low) for the beats to be effective. Isochronic tones are sharper than both monaural beats and binaural beats and are more powerful in their effect on the brain. Isochronic tones are believed to be the most effective. Audiostrobe Compatible

The Mind Massage Cd also consists of an optional audiostrobe track which is embedded into each of the 12 music tracks. The audiostrobe track can only be detected by mind machines (Light and Sound machines) capable of decoding the audiostrobe track. Compatible mind machines include: Mind Explorer Audiostrobe Decoder, the Innerpulse, the Orion, the Photosonix Nova Pro 100, the Proteus, Sirius, Mind Spa Light & Sound Synergizer.

No worries if you don't own a light and sound machine because the audiostrobe track is entirely optional. It's presence on the cd won't affect your cd player's capability of reading the cd.

If, on the other hand, you do own a light and sound machine that can read the audiostrobe track then you are in for an extra treat as far as the brainwave entrainment capability of this cd when you listen to it with stereo headphones, and use the goggles from the mind machine at the same time. The cd is designed in such a way that the binaural beats pulse in sync with the flashing lights in goggles on the mind machine.

Before using audiostrobe, consult with a medical professional if you have epilepsy, are photosensitive, have any history of closed head injuries, or are prone to seizures. Flashing lights can cause seizures to those who are prone to epilepsy.
